We focus on the financial decisions of households and their consequences for the economy and economic policy. The financial situation, savings and investment decisions of households are central to a better understanding of macroeconomic fluctuations and systemic risks in the financial sector.

The aim is to provide research-based insights from which policy recommendations can be derived.
