Teaching
The chair for Econometrics teaches courses for the Bachelor, Master and PhD programmes in economics.

Program
Bachelor level
An introduction in econometrics is given in the course Empirical Economic Research (Empirische Wirtschaftsforschung) in the 4th semester. The basic econometric models and methods are discussed, with an emphasis on applications. The course is compulsory for students with a major in Economics (VWL). It is assigned 6 credits.
The following optional courses on bachelor level are complementary:
- Quantitative Methoden der Politikevaluation und -beratung (recommended for the 5th semester)
- Linear Models and Variance Analysis (recommended for the 6th semester)
An optional course with a more empirical focus on bachelor level is Labor Markets (recommended for the 5th semester).
Within the optional courses, we propose a course named Sports Economics I (recommended for 5th semester students). The purpose of this course is to discuss topics in professional sports economics focusing on microeconomic and empirical issues.
Master level
The Master in Quantitative Economics and Finance (MiQE/F) as well as the Master in Economics (MEcon)cover econometrics and empirical economic research topics at a Master's level:

Within the optional courses, we propose a course named Sports Economics II (recommended for MiQE/F and MEcon students). This course discusses the economics of sports from an individual perspective and its relation to health and labour economics.
